Fear Not

"Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Joshua 1:9

Hundreds of time in the Scriptures we are told not to fear. When something appears once in the Bible, it is vitally important. When we are commanded hundreds of times not to fear, we should take heed and be encouraged.

Fear can be a life saving instinct when we are in dangerous, threatening situations. However when we believe a lie about our life, distortions whispered into our thoughts by the enemy, fear can creep in. Then we rely on our own solutions and strength. Remember, we are not to think as the world thinks. We have an exceedingly great Savior in Jesus who helps us in every way.

The enemy will often employ subtle attacks with worry or doubt to infiltrate our thoughts. He wants to us to operate from fear instead of faith-to allow our minds to amplify a challenging circumstance instead of keeping our gaze fixed on our Rock and Redeemer. God will always lead us in Hs victorious path as we trust in Christ.
